Rob Crossno was born April 5, 1995 in Memphis, Tennessee and was raised in Littleton, Colorado. He recently received a BFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. Now based in Denver, Colorado, Crossno continues to create work. He finds pleasure in building sets to form narratives in each photograph created. His work focuses on fine art photography. He uses vibrant colors to evoke emotions such as serialism and subconscious memory.
Crossno uses installations to depict concepts of reality versus illusion. His work entices the viewer to recollect on their own memories while juxtaposing those memories with visual contradictions of the real world. He hopes to engulf his audience into an experience that challenges standard expectations of placement and structure by creating environments that walk the line between the mind’s definition of sensical and nonsensical. It is in this way that he builds a tangible representation of limbo, and it is up the viewer to decide what this limbo represents for them in their own life.
